A Tribute to Monet

I went on a summer vacation(2015)  with my family to Normandy, France.

２０１５年の夏休みは家族皆でフランスはノルマンディー地方へ旅行にいったよ。

Went around Normandy for 10 days with a family car.
車で１０日間ほどかけてノルマンディーを周遊したんだ。

First to Ohama beach.
Do you know the tragedy that took place around this area during the Second World War?But this was ended with a special mission called D-day.
No more War.

まずはオハマビーチへ。
ここは第二次世界大戦時の戦渦の元、大きな傷を負けた地方なんだって。
でも、これは、D-dayにより終結を迎えたみたいだよ。
（これはスピルバーグの『プライベートライアン』により再現されているみたい）
戦争はいけないよね。

I picked up seashells with my sister.

ここで妹と一緒に、貝殻を拾ったんだ。

We headed for Giverny, where the greatest painter Monet spent his last phase of life.
Monet is my mum's favorite artist.

ママが愛して止まないモネ。そのモネが愛し、その生涯を閉じるまでずっと住んでいたという邸宅にいったんだ。

What a beautiful garden.
My sister watching over it.

なんて綺麗な庭園なんだろう。
妹はその邸宅の２階からずっとお庭を見ていたよ。

We went to THE POND. 
Where  the masterpiece " Waterlily" was created.

睡蓮の舞台となった池を見に行ったよ。

WOW

And...I have an idea!

ここで僕、いいこと思いついた！

When we got back home, we decided to make " A tribute to Monet" 
Using all the seashells we collected at Ohama beach.
We decided to draw a painting with Acryl.

オランダに家に帰って、さっそくプロジェクトスタート。

オハマビーチで拾った貝殻を綺麗に洗って

キャンバスに、僕のイメージするモネの『睡蓮』を描くことに。

My sisiter also helped me.
僕の妹もヘルプしてくれたよ。

This is also ART.
キャンバスだけではなく、これもアートだね。

Voila! A tribute to Monet.

できたよ。
モネに捧げる作品。
ママがとっても気に入って家のリビングに飾ったんだ。

ちょっと嬉しかったよ。
